    cold

Just checking out the fraternity and I may be way off base, but doesn't it seem colder today than usual? Please give a weather report and some feedback how your fowl are doing in this weather.

    Re: cold

It’s been colder than a witches tit where I live. Live in the North and am used to it but this year the extreme cold temps are earlier than normal. We did have a white Christmas...... Fowl are doing excellent but I’ve been in this situation before so really no big deal but it’s always a pain when it’s this cold. Harder on everything.....

    Re: cold

Oh yeah it’s been cold here too. It was 8 this am. Fowls been doing fine with it too. I’ve been using my big water bowls and only been putting like 2 or so inches of water in it then the next day I’ll add about the same till they fill up then I’ll chip it out and start over lol. Also I’ve been “slop” feeding them more to make sure they get water. Added fresh straw in the pins b4 it got too cold also. I added a little more whole corn to the feed to help them out too

    Re: cold

It was -11 this morning here after a balmy 4 for the high yesterday. We usually get temps like this every year so it's not a big deal really. It does suck breaking ice but I'm not complaining. The birds are more than worth the effort.

    Re: cold

Much respect to those of y’all who deal with this every year. Not used to the first waters freezing before the last are filled, but we will get thru this fine. There’s no moisture in the air so we aren’t getting any hard frost and it doesn’t feel near as cold as the numbers say it is, besides fat boys like cooler weather. Birds doing good here, but we aren’t seeing single digits, much less negatives. Wish all you guys best of luck!

Just part of it. Here in the Midwest we have hade some mild winters the last few years. So now we pay for it. But spring is a coming.

    Re: cold

It's been a nice winter in northern MX. We had some rough days in early december--a few days of snow and the temp going to 15f, but the last few weeks we've been hitting about 30f in the early AM and 60f in the afternoon. It's about 40f right now.

36 and raining. Snow flurries just to the north but not sticking grounds to warm/wet. It won't get above 60 this week and thats unusual here.

    Re: cold

Minus 22 without the wind chill YET! And we kept double wrap of plastic and lots of HAY and snow cone for water. No handling of the gamefowls until the weather gets better, meaning minus 3 at least LOL.

    Re: cold

South Texas here checking in and it was a cool 65 degrees today. Very Nice day considering all the cold weather we've been having. It's been in the high 30's and low 40's. My hat's off to you guys who get it done in those Harsh environments.

    Re: cold

Actually it's been hotter than usual (Tx) finally got some cold weather... What 2 do? Either break ice, use the feed cups as water cups... just pour enough that you think they will drink next day repeat. If your not careful those cups will crack

    Re: cold

Over a foot of snow yesterday 6 hours of snow blowing and shoveling the kids and I. I probably have another 4 before all cages are dug out. It is funny but after feeding and watering today. I only remember seeing 2 cages drink from water right away. God provides for his creation

Florida won the Mega Million, still have a chance for the Power Ball lotto. Too damn cold to be outside, car temp was 7 degrees then 5 degrees yesterday.

Just in New Hampshire won the Powerball http://money.cnn.com/2018/01/07/news...day/index.html
