    Auction to support Sabong.com

I put this in another thread but didn't take I don't think. I've messaged Sent. He said go for it. I'd like to put up for auction a trio of my mugs. Bidders choice or as close as I can get. I'll pay shipping in US. $1000. Minimum bid excepted. All proceeds going to Sabong. A few others mentioned putting up a pair I believe. Let's make it happen.

Pair of Sid Taylor pullets . Shipping paid from JD Walker . I will message him and see if he wants to make it for bidders choice of his breeds . That's $500 .. If it don't reach $300 then I will keep the pullets and send $300 myself

Thanks LaBlue, Spring Creek, Quapaw Kid and tonetone559 for your generosity in support of Sabong and its members.
Possibly a 10 day or 2 week auction?
I'll probably win one or two of the auctions. I want Sabong to stay open as well.

If we’re gonna ask a few to donate their fowl, why don’t those of us willing to pay our 10, just pay another $25. Either way the problem will still exist and we will be doing this next year as well. If they’re not willing to support the site for $10, why should they get fowl from those who are.

I'd gladly donate a few hundred and resend my trio offer. I just hate to think of this site going away.

Call me an @$$ but I’d rather give a fraction of what I earn in a regular day at work that will cover a year, than to watch any one of y’all to give up your years work to give a non-donator the opportunity to win them.

Where I am from, all the guys that have and talk roosters are gone. Lately more and more people are getting out. The last thing we need is to lose a great site of like minded people. Please send me the Pay-Pal link and it's only right for all of us to do our part.
I very much enjoy this site and thank you for taking the time to do it.

I’ve even messaged SENT and he is on board for making this site a members only site. He told me to let this site b paid for the year and get that back on track then he would gladly look into making this a member only site !!!! Ans I would also pay more on a yearly basis just let me know how much and consider it done !!!!!

    Re: Auction to support Sabong.com

All good points indeed, honorable. All I can think of in brainstorm is the fowl received will come at a much higher cost to the donee than 10 bucks. Sure they get fowl, but they also spend alot more cash though regardless and that dont ever come easy. Honestly, there are only a handful of members who cld sell their fowl at a premium cost although Im sure many have good stock indeed! Those willing to donate to the auction are generous people, much like the call for needing 2400 dollars was taken at face value and answered. Some live by the word and faith of giving and expecting nothing in return at times like these, its all about what one believes in. Nonetheless, it cld still come up short but something has to roll thats for sure.

I believe with all aside that the only way that amount will be raised is via the auction. However, given the time of year being close to Christmas it will put a damper on money that can go towards the cause. If I may suggest it wld be that items not be bundled, singling them out may be a better route to take. One can prob do a 400 dollar or 200 dollar bid but maybe not above that. If a pair is going for 600, then maybe do 400 for cock and 200 for hen. The pair may still be sold but to 2 buyers. Afterall, if one doesnt sell a whole pair or trio its ok as its not like they were gonna be sold like that anyway if it wasnt for this particular need. That cld help stimulate sales, respectfully. Lets see what happens.

My main thought process is this is a one shot deal and we’re back here next year talking the same talk. Until the screws get put to them, freeloaders will ride the ride. Mr. Mack or SpringCreek willing to donate every year, maybe I’ll put my 10 elsewhere? Why does JD Walkers name ring a bell, what Sids?

I think after this year is accounted for its paramount that this site goes to a fee access only brotha. Its the only way to avoid as you said having to rely on a yearly auction and donors as well. 20 dollars a head is good, Im sure the yearly paid in with that will far exceed the 2400 right. 120 members at 20 bucks hits the mark. I bet there will be at least 500 easy who register and pay to keep accessing this site. I cld be wrong though lol.

    Re: Auction to support Sabong.com

Let's look at a few numbers at $2400 a year. I'm not sure how many contributed the $10 to date, possibly 60 or 70 members, maybe more?
    Cost,,,,,, Members,,,Yearly contribution
    $2400....60. ..........$40
    $2400....70............$35
    $2400....75............$32
    $2400....80............$30
    $2400....90............$27
    $2400....100..........$24

2400 USD a year is also not a cheap cost to maintain a forum. If they charge by the amount of content on the page, then consideration might be given to take away all the other discussions that arent ever used. Keep the top 2 or 3 and thats it because it seems like most is discussed in chicken talk and if its not then it can be. Trim the fat.

My offer still stands I’ll gladly put in a couple hundred or whatever it takes to keep the site going instead of guys like Mr Del and spring creek and Quapaw donating fowl worth way more then they will get for them this time of year. You guys just let me know what you’ll want to do ans I will gladly do my part !!!!!
