    Re: 2019 model

I had the pleasure of owning fowl that Henry Wortham brought back to Florida from Hulsey. I agree on the favorite family. Mine came from Frank Lasaga of Jacksonville Florida when he passed away. They were the deadliest fowl I ever seen. Frank called them Fire Marshals.

I know what you mean. It looks like the other cock is going more and suddenly the Wortham is the winner. TL Orr and some of his friends took slow motion footage of the Hulsey and he told me they did many things even a trained eye would miss. The Hulsey, he told me, were his favorite. You are very fortunate to have water right from the well.

Excellent HogWaller. I know its not something we hear abt all the time but that Jap with Butcher or for those who have medium station quick footed type Lacy RH, they crossed very well at one time and may for you as well. But youre right, dropping that Butcher in never hurts a thing. We used them Jap X in the G. Old friend of my dads had some Jap blood and thats how we got acquainted with it. We messed around with Jap blood at one time many years back.
    Best wishes

Was fortunate. Lost them when a disease hit me. Let a friend have a yard of them because I lost heart. He passed away before I could get any back from him.
I would get rid of all I now have to have them back. My brother had them also but got out of the chickens at the same time. He left most of his with leon Keneday. Who moved to Georgia from Jacksonville.

Damn Fred m where did you get the Sanfords LOL. Theyr a nice pair indeed ! Don't see to many of that old blood around here anymore . We had a cock back in the 90s came from Grady Fields suppose to been the old Sandy blood. Never made it through the testing phase but Ive heard of lot of other folk getting great fowl from Gradys .

Those are awesome! Ive always liked them and they also remind me of royal guards lol. They look solid CA. The ones Ive seen could really get after it and were a real pain in the A to have met up with. I have no doubt yours are no different and are excellent

Thanks again Webby. Thanks Nauvoo. I have enjoyed seeing everyone's fowl. It is like putting a face with a name. Check out the station on the straight combed red Mongoose posted. Most Stags with that kind of range are peacombed. I have four of the Jap Hulsey. 3 came black red and one pumpkin. They will be 6 pounds and up. The Japs are very small but when crossed they are the size Southeast Asia people like.

I had had a private message from a cocker who did not like my Jap Hulsey. He said he looked too much like a yard meat chicken to suit him. Well ... he may have a point but the stag is sweet. Gentle as a kitten. Pretty don't win fights but neither does ugly!

Not everyone will like the same thing and I love it! How boring would it be if we were all the same! But i do think more than anything that it's more in the way that Jap/Pumpkin stag is holding himself than anything

Mongoose , what's the McLean look like . H,e sure stamped those stags . They are built like Whitehackle . If you are done breeding that McLean , let me borrow him .

Hogwaller , that jap is funky - you either love or hate one like that . Some of the pumpkins are built to eat , that's why ilike to seem get a little age first because the barnyard ones look great young . That Velcro steals the show though

I will try to get a different angle of him. He actually stands more errect. He and his Brothers are in NC. I only got 4 of these. We will see how they do. One cocker told me the only way he would like that bird is if he won 9 Blue Ribbons. LOL

Put the time in to get them sharp and they will win .. Pumpkin to Oriental is proven . There is a picture of Larry holding one like that at Texoma for winning Best Cock of the Meet at the 95' Buck Stamsell 7 cock ... They made the best in he world look like rookies . You'd swear they were more than just chickens

You have good eyes. First two are half mclean. 3rd is from that grey hen u like. Mclean are tall, long, full bodied birds. McCleans are not mine. U have to ask Longheel.
