    Brunner of George Russel Poole

    to all Brunner roundhead fans,
i have acquired battle cross and pure brunner from GRP and have done good with them.i am now breeding straight brunners for brood material.
Could you tell me what bloodlines are good to cross with your brunners aside from hatch.how are your winning percentages?
Thanks for your inputs and replies.Am just a beginner on this bloodline.

    Sir Wolf,
I Have Reservations Of Crossing With Another Roundhead As It May Alter The Forward Jump And Strike Style Of The Brunner.my Other Roundheads Such As My Simbecks(lacy) Are Flyers And Multiple Shufflers.what Do You Think?
Have You Tried It With Single Stroke Kelsos?

good for you beginner...if you have already winners in your hand please don't try to mess it up...go back from where you aquired them and ask them how they came up with that strain and stick with it...they will not be that good forever...i give up on mine and i give it to my cousin hoping that he can capture their past glories...

    Bullstag,
Mr. Poole has very excellent record of his Brunner and Murphy crosses, although he is into
Flarry-Eyed grays crossing it to the Cowans nowadays. Did you acquire some of his Murphys too?

GL Hatch compliments well with Roundheads. Brunner crossed on Mcleans performed very well for us.http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/n...3/SDC10077.jpg
Stag is a Lacy-Brunner blend with a dash of GL Hatch blood.

The Bruners that I've seen were yellow legged, P comb, medium red w/ some white in the wings & tail... the hens were sorta dark like a Cowan... prolly because Mr. Bruner got his start of them from Mr. Cowan... or so I've read.

I think you are talking about Alabama Rh of HH cowan and T.K Bruner. Bruner Rh of GRP are Rh that was made by Willis Holding out of T.K. Bruner White leg chicken with some infusion and he call it Bruner Rh in memory of T.K. Bruner.

Last time I check, He is selling all the FEG and cowan. He only like to breed his favorite line Bruner and blueface. He only breed them because some buyers like cowan/FEG cross.

bullstag, are you johnny alcalen, friend of joe fadrigo? we met at guimaras cockpit two years ago. i was with david and jim young at that time. joe wanted me to help him acquire
a brunner from mr. poole but david will be the best person to ask. he is like a son to mr. poole.
