Silver Dollar was very honest, very good looking hens and nice offspring. Bruce is old school, keeps his word and quite honest. I had original brood fowl from Pinnon awsome power, the only set back was that they were gaff birds, would bill hold, but beautiful, powerful, good speed & cut. A little short for those that think high station has an advantage, but I never had a problem with it. Pinnon had two lines of YL hatches, one was refered to as the Pea Head YL hatch, these were / are dark in color high station bigger bodies. The Light hackle YL hatch was the one with the fancy feathering, shorter size.

Thanks for sharing experience.I have the peacomb ylh.I have never got a straightcomb in 10yrs.Out of every mating I only get one dark red all of the rest come out lemon hackles. The bodies are real long(beak to tail)with long tails that are always touching ground.I call them the broom tails as it seems their sweeping the floor. They always come out with white streamers.

Re: Pinnion yellow leg hatch
I have mainly heard good things about this line of yellow leg hatch. But I thinks its probably harder to get the original line nowadays like they once were when bred by the man himself.

Re: Pinnion yellow leg hatch
I have been breeding Pinnons yellow leg hatch for 10yrs. I bought my trio direct from the man himself.I have only lost one pure in all these yrs.I try to breed only a few pure for my broodstock.I do cross them also and get outstanding results. They are the perfect family to add to your fowl as they will put the CUTTING in your other fowl.I usually only fight in sk, but Mr.Pinnon told me they are great lk, when crossed with Claret. My yl,hatches sparr worst than hens when pure but they are real deadly cutters. All I do is add speed into them and I get great results. We just got a 3 acre farm recently and I am going to try to breed as many as I can there.
