with respect to any move or action, i agree that it is always
best to be fully prepared, to have everybody involved, and be united as one.
unfortunately, we do not have a perfect world.
we should do our best with what we have.

i think the time for talk is over,
and the time for action, the right move, is now.
if we wait for next election, with our gaya gaya
attitude, we would have more sabong party list
wannabees, and we, phil sabungeros, might not be united as one.

during the last 2007 election, the bottom place-party list candidate
("COCOFED") only needed "155,920" votes out of 15,950,900 votes
(the total number of votes cast for all party-list candidates), to get one seat in phil congress.

we, phil sabungeros, could do better than that.

sitting out the 2010 election, to lose by default or without even trying,
when an opportunity for representation is available
is just the wrong move.

the best move is to have a sabong party list representative in phil congress
to represent our marginalized and unrepresented sabungero workers
(taga pusta, mananari, sentenciadors, taga balahibo, etc.),
rather than have the communists, leftists, rightists, gay rights people, etc.,
just grabbed and take those 55 seats available during the 2010 election.

that it is "inggit" (envy), or "personal ambition" (sariling pagnanasa),
and i agree.

(when i advocate wake up and take action against the evil enemies,
i do not mean wake up and commit suicide.
i would like for us, phil sabungeros,
to take the best united and unified action possible against the evil enemies.
the GREATEST FATAL MISTAKE, not risk, that we could do is to just enjoy sabong,
be complacent, and do nothing. thats cockfighting history 101. that is exactly what
the evil enemies want us to do while they gain more money and public opinion everyday.

now, if someone has a plan to truly counter them, not just sabong party list-wannabee talk, then i have no problem with that, as long as they consider the fact that the enemy is gaining money and public opinion everyday.)

i could be wrong, but it is my humble opinion that i could sense that all these negative talk about Nid and Alyansa is fueled and driven by inggit (envy), or personal ambition (sariling pagnanasa) to field themselves or their own sabong party list candidate next election.
Nid beat them on the party list-filing time deadline this 2010 election cycle,
and so did the other sabong party list applicant, Adhikain ng Magmamanok.

Supreme Court affirms Comelec disqualification of 10 party-list groups

MANILA, Philippines - The Supreme Court (SC) has affirmed the disqualification of 10 party-list groups from running in the May 10 elections.

In separate rulings, the SC dismissed petitions questioning Commission on Elections (Comelec) resolutions disqualifying them for “non-compliance of court rules and failure to prove grave abuse of discretion on the part of Comelec.”

Court administrator Jose Midas Marquez, SC spokesman, said among those disqualified are the Filipinos for Peace, Justice and Progress Movement (FPJPM) and Alyansa Sabungero.

FPJPM claims to be comprised of supporters of the late action star Fernando Poe Jr. while Alyansa Sabungero is an alliance of cockfighting aficionados and workers in the industry.

The Comelec ruled that they do not represent marginalized sectors.

The SC also dismissed the petitions of Alab ng Pusong Pinoy, Abag sa Kalikupan, Koalisyon at Aksyon Nag-iimpok Para sa Ekonomiya at Gabay ng mga Organisasyon (1-KANEGOSYO), Alyansa Alay sa Adhikain ng Beterano, Anak sa Pantalan, Agro-Industrial Productivity Exponents (APEX), 1-Angkan Party, and Alyansa ng Sambayanang Pilipino.

Earlier, the SC affirmed the disqualification of Migrante from taking part in the elections.

The petitions of Ang Ladlad, Philippine Guardians Brotherhood, Inc. (PGBI) and Courage are pending before the SC.

Meanwhile, the SC has dismissed with finality the petitions of retired police general Romeo Maganto and singer Anthony Castelo questioning their disqualification from running for senator.

The SC also dismissed the petition of Gerardo del Mundo, a vice-presidential candidate, for failing to prove that the Comelec committed grave abuse of discretion in disqualifying him.

The SC also rejected the petition of a certain Richard Recto, who was barred from joining the senatorial race.

The Comelec declared him a nuisance candidate based on the petition of former socio-economic planning secretary Ralph Recto, who is also running for senator under the Liberal Party. – Edu Punay
