i have been around long enought to no there are no best hatch,, as far as the leapiers go they are not suppose to be a hatch type fowl, yet people still call them hatch, name as many hatch familys as you can think of, and you will find that they all have had there day,easy put, find you a hatch family that have winning ways and stick to that family, breed them, by single mating and find the very best females that you can, and its solved, you have yourself a hatch family that you can call yours, just my thoughts.there are so many good familys of hatch that are being used, alot of it depends on what they will be used for, i no of some hatch familys that will bring home the money, but i will run or quite from time to time, so the choice is yours, i have a family of hatch that sweeter and percy had, that are dead game roosters, but if used stright you would be broke in a season if showed pure, but they are a solid family of fowl that will bring home the money if crossed to the right fowl,like i said lots of choices, hope this helps in some small way.

Definitely true!!! We have a family of hatch that we call blueface hatch (but some other hatch blood in it). Seldom win pure, but when crossed to any other bloodline the offspring has high winning percentage....
