As expected, the 2012 Thunderbird Dakak Challenge 4-Cock All-Star Derby showed the hundreds of aficionados in attendance at the Gallera de Dapitan last Friday, June 8 and the thousands of sabong enthusiasts all over the world, who watch the event live via thunderbird.com.ph, the most intense and competitive battle of the finest fightingcocks that they have ever witnessed fielded by the elite members of the Thunderbird Sabongnation.

Bernie Tacoy’s Ormoc Golden Warriors entry was the first to seal the victory in Fight #43 via an amazing lightning blitz against living legend Rafael “Nene” Abello which was done in 14 seconds flat. Tacoy unleashed four golden blue (gold abuhin) roosters , which each one receiving applause from the crowd for their superb performance.

World Slasher Cup titlist Pol Estrellado of San Pablo City and back-to-back Bullang-bullang champion Tol Mariano of Tupi, South Cotabato face-off in the last fight of the day with 3 wins apiece. More than who will win the match, the crowd was more focused on whether the 14-second winning time posted by Tacoy will be broken. Mariano prevailed in 46 seconds, thereby allowing Tacoy to bring home the special trophy designed and crafted by artist Zandro Castrillo.

Settling for runner-up honors with three points apiece are newly-crowned Bullang-bullang champ Gov. Baham Mitra, Thunderbird Palawan Challenge winner Joey Sy & Pros Antonio, Tan Brothers of Davao, Pol Estrellado, PFGB President Wilson Ong of Dimaguete and Bakbakan 10-pointer Bebot Monsanto of Cebu

Ang Palawan Challenge medyo nagkaproblema ng konti pero meron na din, nadelay lang talaga. Ipinararapol po ng Thunderbird during seminars.

Huwag mamasamain suggestion lang po...sana yung commentators would be people that are knowledgeable sa mga breeders, their records or legacy sa sabong world and also the voices would sound good audio quality-wise...I understand its a free service but since it is a commercial endeavor of thunderbird it would not hurt in improving for the future...

Again sana ay huwag masamain...all in all I have been following the Thunderbird derbies within the last few years on DVD...

malalim : bro! sorry ha if sometimes I leave the board with some friends, medyo pagod din talaga kaya I sometimes exit from commenting pero pag nakaupo naman ako dun sa board I try to answer most questions I get from the live chat and try to inject in details I know about bloodlines or the breeders sa ruweda. Hilig din natin yan so whatever information I have I share. Minsan nga sa sobrang daming gusto nating sabihin na background information kulang ang oras. Kapag wala ako dun sa board, hindi na ako aware how the commenting goes pero I'm sure the others taking my place naman tried to fill in the seat.

Dun naman sa dvd, the boracay challenge had me and Joey Sy on board, the 2nd one isn't out yet pa dahil nagpapare-edit ako. The sultada version of the Palawan Challenge had Philip Neri and Rolly Ramos naman on-air. Thanks for the suggestion, we'll try to address it at the soonest possible time!
