Not sure how many he still raises but i think D.W. and the Freemans are raising most of his bloodlines Rick had some health issues as of late.

His Mcreas are raised bye him an last i saw at his yard he didnt own anymore mule train greys because of health he cut back and stuck with his original bloodlines he's had since the 70's like the hatches an still has Mcreas an Cecil davis Kelsos and you wont get a Rampuri from him this year. Without saying to much last i seen an heard them Pure Mcreas were winning blue ribbons. As of right now all his pens are full and tie cords with hundreds of stags still walking. The pic i posted is how alot of his mcreas look some darker in the hackles then others but pretty typical as far as color for a Mcrea.

Re: Rick Beal
I went to Rick's house last year. I was sent by Richard cause I needed a new cock to breed to my Mcrae's that I got from Jr. Flores. Rick is very easy to talk to even though he doesn't look like it. I only saw one jet black Mcrae and he was using it over some kelsos hens. He had some that were black/red and there was one that had very little red in the hackles and black on his face which is the one I ended up taking home. They are tight feathered with a football body, medium to high station

Re: Rick Beal
its best to ask him because everone will tell you one thing and the actuall breeder might say diffrent lot of people get his fowl second hand I only know a few people that actually buy first hand and If someone says they bought them direct i can ask him.
