after observing my fowls behavior....

I have come up with a list of the "moods" that seem to occupy my fowl.

1. " I am really tame and quite a nuisance when im loose, i will jump on your head or shoulder and steal anything you may be eating and i will stick my beak in your beer"

2. " I can be a little grouchy but if you have a treat, nobody gets hurt"

3. " If you move slowly around me nobody gets hurt"

4. " I will try to avoid you but if i cant, your gonna get hurt"

and my personal favorite...

5. " no peace offering or treat is going to matter, i will go out of my way
to hurt you as much as i can"

just thought i would share the behavior differences i have on my yard!!!

good day! MTomlin.

If you cull those that show the traits of #5 you will have less #2,#3,and #4 and more #1.

Pretty funny.
I have to agree with lone wolf. It sounds like your breeding manfighters.

not trying to breed manfighters, the majority of my birds are pretty calm. luckily only a handful are mean. most of them are in the number 2 category.

Re: after observing my fowls behavior....

I like to see different personalities in roosters just because I would get bored if they all were the same ya know? Like if one kicks me right in the kneecap or a multi hit on the shin with sharp little spurs I get pissed and grab him up and spar the piss right out of the little pecker! LOL! I like the docile ones and the rowdy ones. Never a dull moment!
