By the way I'm tempted to organize an off color derby association that will accomodate Blacks, Hennies and all shades of weird colors - no need to have our own banding - just accept bakbakan, digmaan and local association bands for their birds. Anyway Roligon accepts off colors. And quite a number of PITs, maybe even just a small one like Elorde or San Pedro or Muntinlupa.
Sabagay your Sabong.net accepts hennies di ba?
Im really thinking more for the 2013 season as it is already too late for this year.

Me and Joel used to hold an off color derby in San Mateo Cockpit years ago. We were going to revive it and hold one i think in Jan 2013.

Hi Sir Joey,
Have you tried already this solingen knives? how does it fare compared to your apollos?
Anyway, i just picked up early this morning the apollo knives from jun (canlalay), we scored 2 wins and 1 draw using it. absolutely amazing, 1 hit is what it only needs to send the opponent to kingdom come. yup, ive got this waterjet cut apollos from you courtesy from my brother, Engr. Norman "Air Sakuragi" who surprised me with these steels. You met him at ATC and he hurriedly left since we had an entry at munti that night.

Yes Norman is one who bought a dozen waterjet cut Apollo circular saw blades from me. Happy to hear hes happy and successful with his investment.
Apollo is indeed tested and proven already. We have videos, and numerous instances of fast kills to confirm what you mention.
The Solingen was actually a gift from Jackson Mariano, I picked up this morning. I have yet to test, together with the CPMs ordered.
Mr. Jack Kie, for circular saw blades no more tempering. As is na, waterjet cut only. For the other steel like CPM, yes they need to be tempered. This job is being done by Mr. Saint or Mr.Jailbird who can fill you in on the process.
Regards.

Hi Rodel, no plans yet for the SK winners. Im not sure what direction to breed them to. It seems like there are more plans for SK events comng up but im not sure yet if it will be enough reason to do larger quantities. So so im still mulling over breeding the asil stag and what to put him with. I also have his sisters and his offspring by his sisters. Being experimental, im tempted to breed the girls to my pretty boy grey and see if i cpuld have finer featured offspring and even faster fighters. But then again if i wanted speed it should probably be the Bob P Black ;-) which will probably make them more of a black/dark family or pangharang family ;-) too many possibilities and too little space when they finally mature next year.
The Hamlin x Kelso Grade, is already deadly in the LK so im thinking of setting setting him up for an LK path but maybe better to have his sisters under my Out&Out original Kelso grandaddy. This will reinforce the smarts and speed - good for our stag derbies next year ;-) main reason is i dont have straight bred o&o kelso offspring as the only one produced is with jun in pangasinan. I only have the original and will be trying to get straights again this year.
The " Round Pury" if we set him up for the SK, maybe best to have him with his sister or cousin as you planned ;-) this will be A very nice SK line.
By the way, we are planning to join the SK stag event this november - and i was suggesting to Arnold SLWNSTDY that we use your grades ;-) [/LIST]

HELLO JEB!
the only problem with my grades (stags) is that they we're not banded...it shouldn't be a problem if they were.
with regards to the rampuri,ok i will have him back to breed to his sisters.
"BUKOL's"1/2 is actually a J.Jumper kelso (a straight comb white legged)...hamlin side was taken from the hen...i'll breed his full brother to her aunty and niece this breeding season, after that i can send them to you if you want?

Sure that would be nice! Partner next season have all your grades banded pls! I think the SK will become more popular, and i think you are miles ahead of me and the taritari group in this direction. I think Tonio and Mike Romulo will be very dominant in this format and also the many grade enthusiasts will have a field day over the LK fighters- it seems that the Ramp grades are just natural SK birds.
As to my own Native Asil Grades, they still need to prove their gameness ;-) i wont see that until i have one lose ;-) and im not looking forward to it hahahaahaha!

Well, you already saw one of your birds win impressively. By the way he has healed very well. I just dont have the bloodline to compliment him for the SK. Too risky with my Native grades as they might not be that game. My westerns might dilute him too much. To my beginners eyes, he looks like he is just right. In fact i regret having fought that Ramp Grey in the LK!!!!! I should have waited and fought him in the SK!! Anyways - you have the gene pool ;-)
By the way, when you come over, lets discuss conditioning and pointing them ;-) i think i have a very simple way to get them to peak ;-)

I plan to bring the CPMs this weekend for heat treatment. Yes, i will first heat treat before welding to the garol and final honing. The quote was a bit higher than expected but i am more particular on the quality. Excited to see how they come out and test them on August 4

I would expect it to be a mixed session as i would like to test my LK. And the camp owner is already a SK aficionado so there will definitely be some fought in these weapons

Re: Chicken Knives, Tari, Slasher - tying, sharpening etc
Can the participants prepare only one for each? (1 for LK and 1 for SK)
Since not everyone is "well off" (me included.. )
and cannot participate on a 2 stag tupaderby for each category..
besides, practice is what were after..

Good news, Boyet Puyat, bro of Henry Puyat called me to let me know that he sent over gaffs anf socket knives. We will soon have the weapons to test our birds with gaffs!
Lets see if our birds really cant make it in the gaff ;-) nothing beats reality checks!
