Re: Bob Bennett greys
The Bennett family are a fine American Family. Bob Sr and his wife Helen treated me awesome when i was as newcomer to there farm. Helen is still alive and is as sweet as ever. Bob Jr. spends alot of time taking care of the fowl and his mother. He knows what he is doing and follows his fathers gamefowl breeding principles and theories to the letter. The family has had members in the US military.

Re: Bob Bennett greys
Are bb greys all silver back green legs and black ring around eyes? What are the difference between bb greys and shorty bullock greys?

Re: Bob Bennett greys
you are right mugcocker,bb sr. willed all his bird to Mr. D (sr. partner) before he passed away. make story short, jr.asked Mr.D if he can have some bird to play around with. he got what he wanted , but he is selling them. Mr.D learn about, so he cannot have anymore chicken. ever since they always comes small. so if you want real bb greys its only from Mr. D.( if he will sell you some)

Re: Bob Bennett greys
The guy I am talking about dont have any good Bennett Greys left they all come small he tells everybody that Mr. Bennett willed him his cocks but the truth is he just tried to go take them and now all he has is a bunch of inbred Bennetts that come around 4lbs - 4.10lbs. If he has all them good bennett Greys why cant he win shows like he used to when Bob was alive one reason is Bob told him not let no one have them and then the next thing you know all his friends that show with him has bennett greys. But now he just sits back and talks about how tough they are and how he used to win shows all over the country now he cant hardly win anywhere. And the reason being is he dont know how to raise them like he said he did if he had all those fowl of Bob Sr. what happend to all them wins and all them big grey cocks that would weigh around 5lbs - 6lbs he dont have any cocks like that he wants everyone to think he does. And why Bob Jr. go to him to get fowl when he has got family that has better fowl than what he has got. I mean he dont have what he lets one he does he tried to tell people that he went down tio where Bob Sr. lived and bulit him a house out of his winnings from a show back about 8 years ago I mean like Bob Sr. needed help doing that. This man took a long ride on Bob Srs. Greys and now it is over for him and he is just telling everything he can to tarnish the Bennett name but what he dont know is that they were people bigger and better than him that gave Bob Sr. his fame on his Greys it was not him. Look at Sammy Ramsey he has some of the best Bennett Greys that I have ever seen and this man told men that the Ramseys bought the cock off of Jerry Ellard at a show and Jerry told Bob that it died and then Bob found out and would not let Jerry get any more Grey cocks from him and that is how he started getting the Greys. Who does this guy think he is one of the all time greats his ride is over and now he cant take it I hope that I never act like this man over a breed of gamefowl and people like this is what is wrong and why we cant organize and help each other out and fight the ones we need to fight because they want to fight over a name on a breed of gamefowl that was established by a well known breeder and his name is not in front of it that is his problem.

I did not get mine direct, but I can tell ya that 100% of mine are straight comb. And green legged. The hens legs tend to be a bit lighter green where the cocks get real dark some near slate, but still green. Biggest cock I've had so far was 5:4. The original cock and most of the stags were in the high 4's.
I have talked to a few fellas that say theirs come pea & straight combed though.

Not in expert on shorty greys but they came from Oscar Akins and where straight comb to begin with. Also butcher blood was infused to the greys and butcher's are also straight comb. I don't see how peacomb could result. Highly unlikely but not impossible though. Maybe they infused peacomb blood into your shortys.

What are the best attributes of the shorty bullock greys? I know that greys are known for gameness but do these bullock greys shuffle like hatch fowl? Anyways just curios cause I do like greys and I herd they have butcher blood in them?

Re: Pictures of shorty bullock and bob bennett greys
Very tough very very. Hard shuffling hard hitting fowl gameness to spare and as much or more bottom than any wh or hatch. All they lack in most families is cutting and acrobatics. And some have that. Very straight on aggressive style. I always crossed them on shortys Frank steele Murphy or my rh with lots of success.
