petition to legalize tenn cockfighting

This is a post that I just put up on 2 different hunting forms, one of which is the UNITED KENNEL CLUB Message forms, and the other Form was Professional Kennel Club.

Guys I'm posting this for a friend in TN, that is trying to get enough signatures on this petition. I think that this is one of the oldest traditions in the country, and see no reason why it should be illegal. Most people are under the impression that these roosters are made to fight, and that is the furthest thing from the truth. It is their natural instinct to fight. With the different organizations like the Humane society, and ****, they are steadily trying to take away all of our rights, it's has been the Game fowl enthusist that have suffered loosing their rights to harvest their gamecocks as they see fit. If we don't all take a stand together they will be after our hounds, and the sport that we all love so much. You can sit on the sidelines and say Na they wont ever mess with the hound people, well your going to be in for a rude awakeing. Its time to take back our God given rights, and our freedom. Not everyone has to agree with how we harvest our Gamefowl, or how we may harvest any pelts, Big bucks, or big fish. There will come a day that they will try and stop the use of dogs, and we will be looking for all the help we can get as well from other people that may not hunt with hounds, but respect that it is what we enjoy, and have our back. If you agree with the petiton, then please take the time to sign it, and if not then simply don't sign it. I for one enjoy the sport of the Gamecocks, as well as chasing hounds.

I've signed the Petiton and I've spread the word. I'm sure that some of you other Fellow cockers has other types of public forms that you get into everyday, whether it be hunting of some sorts, or sports. Guys man up and fight for your rights. I agree that this will be a challenge, but its time to man up against these organizations that keep trying to control our lives. If we can get enough interest, and inform some of the public in a way that they can see our side, rather than what the see on TV, or hear in the news, as all being negative, maybe we can get the momentum on our sides.
