The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
Please everyone, please, use the search feature on this site before u start a thread asking questions! Believe me there are very few questions that have not been asked on this site!! I'm sorry but I can't stand getting on here and seeing the same questions asked over and over again, a lot of times one thread on top of the other!!

that's where the horse and pond come in....

Just sharing..T-Fowls..

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
to the new guys... again... please... make an effort and "search" first... there are a lot of threads like this already, no need to open new ones...
will close new post that have been discussed before... it's better to search and join existing threads than actually posting another one and waiting for a response... you'll find more info this way also...

Yes, and search for posts, not threads. That should filter it out.

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
I guess a lot of new guys wants to be "spoon fed" about the information they want... Never really wanting to "look for it"... It's hard, it's difficult, it's so on and on... Wonder if they spent the amount of time whining and just started looking, they would have seen what they wanted or looking for...
Please, nothing is easy, especially in this sport, if it was, then everyone would have known or be an expert by now with a stroke of a key... say AHHHH!

I think you are correct!! Now, just a thought. Is it wrong to start a new thread when you are looking for updated information? is it wrong to want information all in one thread that we need. instead of getting the information off 50 threads that have a couple of postings each on what we are looking for?
Its true. the more we read the more informed we are and that just makes us a little better in the sport. But please Be kind to post how we can be in your inner circle, how we can have the oportunity to start a thread that like you said it has already been discussed many many many times. what did those many many many people opening those post do to have you leave their posts or not move them.
I just want to do things right so please be kind to share.

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
When I started this thread, it was for the threads saying " who's got the best roundhead?" And look two threads down and see the same EXACT thread by a different user! "How do I get my hens laying?" That one was one above the other lol!! Just get tired of seeing the same question asked over and over.... but that doesn't mean stop asking, just take a little initiative and look first.

I use the search option as a new member and type in a breeders name and like it brings up 300 posts and 3/4 of them are not english. In most of the english ones i have read through, there are no such names i am searching for? It does work however for items pretty well.....but names like bob boles it is almost not germane.
Just my 2 cents....not griping....just confused.

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
Do an Advanced search and search only in Chicken Talk forum. Then go for Threads instead of posts.
Hope that helps.

Sir I did not see where anyone was whining, just the search feature does not work as clearly as some of us hoped for.I do not think that attacks on others who ask for help will advance our cause any further. You do not want to help?Fine,no sense in personal attacks.Asking for help whether with fowl or computer help is not whining.

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
I must say the search option on here and similar sites are never accurate. You type one word and it brings up and word in any thread that matches it.
But I think if one searches and can't find what they need than in ahead and post a neo thread

Do an Advanced search and search only in Chicken Talk forum or whatever forum you want. Then go for Threads instead of posts. That's quite accurate.
Hope that helps.

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
I just want to know why this thread titled "From genetics to feed and everything in between" was closed,And I was confused about the header "chicken talk".
Chicken Talk For SERIOUS gamefowl discussion only. Anything and everything about chickens. ENGLISH only.
Its not laziness if you don't want to search on every specific and posting specific topic,as the thread starter stated that cockfighting is very "broad".For me it is better also to have new ideas. This is a forum, and its normal to have a QnA,that is not limited and still interconnected to the main topic.just my thoughts.

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
Good News!
Found good way to search the site with Google.
Use "site:.sabong.net.ph" (without the "") after your query.
For example:
your question site:.sabong.net.ph
And Google will just search the sabong site. Try it, it's pretty cool!
Thanks!

Re: The Thread Searching Feature on this Site!
New and old guys here... Again an influx of repeated threads... Please make a real effort to SEARCH first before posting a new thread... Believe me, it's for your benefit.... All repeated threads will be closed...
Regards...
