Question for Nonny

Do you know if silver heels are still availabe? And what would be there value....others can chime in also....

No one makes them now Mike , the secret has been lost , by all accounts they were a copper alloy I think. From time to time they become available in the UK and are worth a lot of $'s generally . English members here would be better to ask than me .....

There is a very good article on them in the Gamecock, May 1997. The article is titled A Formidable Armory," The Fitz-Barnard collection of silver spurs. It explains how each maker had there own secret recipe for the silver and such. A good read.
