Rampuri Asil

To all cockmates:
i've read a lot of praises about this Rampuri asil and crosses. Can anybody share with me more info about this breed; who are breeding this kind of chicken for fighting purposes? Im now intrigued and would like to raise some. thanks and best regards

They are small asils. They also are more agressive than most asils.Very Game...Super Intelligent..the hens fight...pures are not only resistant to disease but also to mites..hit both the body and the head...hit 2x harder than american birds...early maturing for asils (can be fought as stags)

Yes, I have seen the rampuri of Tonio on Emoy's ahow. They are almost black and very meaty. They do peck alot but they are really the originals and they do have the history to back it up. It's nice to know somebody grading the real stuff.

What confuses me is there are red rampuri's that looked like just 1/4 or maybe 1/8. That's why I asked? I have seen black rampuris on the other website and they are similar to Tonio. Are there red rampuri? They don't looked real solid so I suspected it to be graded more.

thanks for posting our website!

our rampuri asil was throw back red, he was the only one left
all four brothers are solid black and was purchased all by a
known breeder here in p.i. who also loves oriental fowls so
much!

the source farm is located at louisiana usa and seldom sell his
stock.

i think there are also lot of rampuri asil breeders here in p.i.

i just started breeding rampuri asil in year 2000. They are easy
to breed, they have better health, good hatching and survival
rate, gives hybrid vigor to offsprings compared to straight bred
western fowls.

i have tried all my available western fowl hens and found
different bloodlines nicks at different levels or grades.

here are pics and video of my three generation rampuri asil
grading. left are pictures of my lone rampuri asil broodcock (just
the face he's on molt will post full pic maybe by oct) middle is the
1/2 rampuri asil 1/2 lemon84 and on the right is 3/4 lemon84
and 1/4 rampuri asil. you can notice the diminishing apearance-look of the asil.

http://sabong.net.ph/forum/attachmen...achmentid=4412

i hope i have shared something from my humble short experience in breeding this strain of asil.

Rampuri Asils

hi all, very impressive info about these asils. apart from Tonio's Rampuri asils which had been proven in the big fights, we'll all appreciate if there's anyone out there who can help us, asil lovers to start with our own. Asils it appear are rare and dont' come cheap. cheers

I like my Rampri asils real well, smart, fast, accurate, great cutters. He is a pic of my main brood cock. Matched him pure in gaff and won a very quick one.

great! you're fighting them pure in gaff and can won quickly.

can i ask your opinion, do you think they can be fought in
long knife pure?

i have not tried one or seen one here in p.i. that fought them
pure. i'm sure mine will not do well when fought pure in long
knife

what most asil breeder here fought then at 1/2 grade or
even lower.

Wink

I don't fight many pure, mostly just at hack fights. I like doing this to see if they can cut and can compete well with american fowl. Its riskly business fighting them pure against the faster american fowl. I like doing it ocassionaly to make sure they can still take the punishment.
I think they would do real good pure, but you would have to be VERY selective which ones. Mine side step and blast a cock coming down, usually hits them in the side or up the back. What I like best is they are smart enough to get off the cock and and let him melt down before he hits again, unlike many of the american fowl who will jump right in and get themselves killed. In competion though I fight 1/2 and 1/4. I'm not brave enough to fight them pure in derbies. Take care -Joe
