Re: rampuri asil
My 6 years old Black Rampuri Asil cock, doing his duty on the brood pen...
he's together with a boles/japs pullet (with more than a dozen eggs as of present) for my experimental RAM-BO JAPS...
I hope to improve the Rampuri asil a little more with these infusions without loosing out on what made them really good oriental fowls for grading... Make them a little taller, a little faster and a little more reach... If all goes well anyway... We'll see in the near future...

The 1/2 rampuri asil will usually fight to death very early if you keep them together in a small area... you can spar them as early as 4.5 months onwards, depending sometimes also on the western your grading them to of course...

Thank you sir mod,,,,
Am trying another asil cross just for fun,,,,
It takes 2 years to have results,,,,
I will let you know,,,,
Last time I tried asil hen x black velcro, result is good,,,,
I breed back a 2 time winner son to his asil mother, the result is very bad, stags at 9 months dont want to fight!
some said I should not have bred back and I think they are right!

sir SPSP,
that's why most shy away from oriental breeding as I mentioned... not all are worth breeding, let alone inbreed... I believe the truly solid oriental line will take inbreeding very well... I have very inbred rampuris that will kill each other as early as 3 months if you are not careful... all my crosses (1/2), even the 3/4 rampuri stags can be fought by 9 months...
so it's just a matter of finding the good ones sir, if finding good westerns that will take inbreeding and still be good is hard already, I think it will be doubly hard for orientals...
regards...

i read in asilmania that sometimes the best fighters from a cross isnt always great producers..but maybe the crappest one from the bunch could produce something better perhaps?

Re: rampuri asil
1/2 Black Rampuri Asil 1/2 Jim Clem Black Jap biddies @ more than 3 months old...
Another one of my oriental breeding experiments to hopefully improve on the Rampuri Asil more, I think these 1/2 and 1/2 will be really good to cross to my black mcraes...
My target will be 3/4 Rampuri 1/4 Jap and keep them that way if they are really good to grade to western fowls...

Re: rampuri asil
Those are some good looking pairs. Tonio I asked you on the Jim Clem Oriental thread if you have crossed the Rampuri to your greys before, and what your results were? We crossed ours to some law greys in Mexico and they are super cutting roosters.

Hi,
Yes, I have they were good at 50-50 but were very small so I had to go to 1/4 and those did real well in big fights, some came red in color. My dad sent his cousin a 3x winner and he is doing real well with them. Here is one of his stags that won in a 7stag
here is an old video of a 50-50, he is the grndfather of the stag in the video
