Kung kayo ay kukuha ng breeding materials, kaninong breeder kayo kukuha?
"Big time breeders won't part with their breeding materials". If this stands true, paano makakasiguro na ang kukunin mo or ibibigay sa iyo ay mismong breeding materials na ginagamit ni big time breeder?
Some say "go thru their records" pero what if sinabi na niya sayo na "these are my breeders, you can choose from them" without showing any records?
Do you guys know of an honest breeder that will go out of his way to give you some of the best (if not the best) he's got?

The best materials are usually acquired through a lot of friendship, and a fee. The best will never be given free of charge. Breeders can give you good materials but not their best, unless you have already establish a good relationship with them. Likewise, they would never part with you their best birds on your first purchase because they want to know how you would care for their birds. Even if they sell their trios at 60K-100K, believe me you will not get their best birds... maybe their 2nd best or not at all.
Just my thoughts

thanks for the comment
actually that's what i'm afraid of. people like me would like to purchase from a particular breeder because of the way we see their chickens win. but then again, we could not expect to produce chickens the way we want them to be or the way we expect them to burn the pits because they are just good but not the best???
what then if i don't have the luxury to purchase fowls every now and then, or simply said i could only purchase once every decade, how could someone like me possibly befriend a bigtime breeder?
so what should we expect from our hard earned money?
just seeking advice...

breeding material

for starters i recommend to buy a tested battle cross trios to a breeder you choose, let say a sweater/gilmore trio from one breeder who's customers are winning in majority of THEIR fights.
try to scout in the cockpits ask those handlers, entry owners na nakitaan mo ng magandang laban, kunyari tanong mo sa kanya kung saan galing ang manok habang ginagamot o habang tinatanggalan ng tari. tingnan mo ang marking para pag punta mo sa breeder ay kilala mo na ang target mong bibilhin.
nasabi kong battle cross trios dahil di katulad ng pure trios na kailangan mo pang humanap at mag eksperimento at dadaan ka pa sa guess work. maraming naliligaw sa ganyang simula at marami kang guguguling panahon, pera at higit sa lahat ang frustrations ng hit and miss.

i agree with beakheel, try breeding battlecrosses. if you do this medyo maliit ang chance na magkamali ka sa breeding mo. here are some of the breeders that i have dealt with:
nene abello- very high quality fowls, kahit 2nd or 3rd rate mabili mo mataas pa din quality nito. kahit fake binigay nya sa akin sweater( i found out later it is a 3/4 kelso 1/4sweater pullets).
nagpanalo pa rin mga anak nila.
francis lumunsad-good fowls, but be carefull. sabi imported yung binenta nya pullets sa akin, local pala. pinalitan lang ng wingbands.
liza galore- being a regular buyer of their class c fowls, and knowing john melendres i bought 1 pure karachi stag. good results.
charlie reyes/jing reyes( JCR BLACKWATER)- real blackwater fowls. but when mr. reyes died nahinto na ang farm. this is where i got my good broodstocks.
joey lapid/pete rodriguez- joey sells honestly. he sells almost all their fowls. of course not the foundation stocks of their farm.
redgamefarm-just got the dink stag. dpa alam kung ok!

Don't expect to get the best from the bigtime breeders. Dahil mahaba ang pila sa mga class A nila.

its nice to hear that you still manage to mention these breeders in a very civilized manner even if they haven't been honest in dealing with you.
