You can do carbo loading based on your conditioning schedule. But most i can do carboloading a week before fight...

Carbo loading

Just give carbohydrates on their meal on the last five days of the keep period.

As the word implies, it is the loading of carbohydrates to your cock to have enough energy during the fight.

maxxi feeds?

i've read in the zine on the 10 day conditioning program article about Maxxi Carbo Loading Feeds & Maxxi Conditioning Pack, sorry for my ignorance but is that feed available locally (phil)? coz I'm from pampanga and I never saw that kind of brand of feeds here. And if so, how good is this product?

thanks

If you wish to have a pre-packed carboloading feeds, you may visit to your nearest feed supplier's. Yes it's available in the Philippines, but i'm not sure of the brand name.

For us, we usually carboload on the last 3 days (using 21 days preparation)....

For every 100 grams of our base feed, we add 10% corn(say 10grams) on the 19th, 20 grams on the 20th and 30 grams on the 21st (fight day)....
Assuming that 80% of ration on fight day is corn.

Why corn? As Doc Ted's theory, feeding corn gives your gamecock that "snap" every time he hits his opponent....

corn?

assuming I will use corn for the carbo loading period, which will be better whole corn or cracked corn? some even say that one should soak the corn in water for it to expand and get soft for easy and quick digestion.

also does addition of wheat (red or any) greatly helps on carbo loading than plain corn meal only? are there supplements to help our fowls absorb carbohydrates from the feeds they eat?

and can anybody please tell us if MAXXI is the brand of the feeds or theres another brand name for it.

thanks

For the benefit of the doubt...

Why Corn?

Corn has more carbohydrates but low in fat compared to others...
Oat groats has the highest metabolizable energy followed by corn. Oat groats contains high in crude fats and this will tend to bring "sapola" or gut fat in the cock.

As per Doctor's advise, more oat groats will take away that "snap" from the cock's buckles....

Fyi, we used crack yellow corn and we usually soaked several hours prior feeding them...

some battlefowls can't handle corn especially on extremely hot
weather...i used high liquid calories instead...about two drops the
night before fight and some during the day...this is how i keep them empty but not hungry...

What else is best carbo loading stuffs that will not affect the weight of your cock. See, you are about to fight them, you don't want them gaining weight towards it, d bah.

BUSTER!

Sir Buster,

Is MAXXI brand available locally? Coz I haven't come across that brand around here (Angeles City, Pampanga) or maybe I wasn't just looking hard enough.

But if somebody know where I can avail of the MAXXI product in and around central luzon please inform me.

thanks

How about KERNEL CORN? The one that you can buy from any grocery store? I think it's softer and easy to digest. It comes in a can either whole or mashed corn though it's a bit expensive than cracked corn. What can you say guys? Have a nice day!:sprcool:

Oatgroats (dehulled) has the highest metabolizable energy, 3,400 kilo calories followed by corn with 3,366 Kcal.
However, oat groats has a high level in crude fats.

Cheers,

Caution.

Some experience the OFF syndrome when they change the feed one day before or the day of the fight.

Thanks Ugly.

The way I see it, when you change their feed gradually, it takes two or more days if not abruptly. In those days it may affect their weights.

That's why a formula, a proven one, is more appealing to this ignoramus.

A good student can play in his mind the rest of the tips.

Now a row 4 student needs more. That's why there are these called fast and slow learners. Fortunately, I am one of the seaters in row 3 :-)
