although it has been a while, we used to fight a whole lot of mac white's birds .. i'd say around 90% of what we fought were of his bloodlines .. we were fortunate enough to have been successful with his blood .. we got out of the sport a while back and just now gettin back into it and that is the reason why we aren't fightin his birds at the moment ..
the birds we fought were mostly yellow legged and white legged .. i would say though that he's got a family of green legged birds that were pretty honest themselves ..
i have been told of stories of the "crooked" variety but far as i'm concerned, he's been pretty straight forward with us ..
it's the gamble you take when purchasin birds without havin to pick them out yourself .. although if when picked out personally, you at times still end up with junk .. fortunately, we've been on a positive note with the ones we've gotten from mr. white
bbmc76 pre, James Mac white breeds Hulsey Clarets predominantly YL and he also breeds the Cowan/Bruner Roundheads and Bleface hatch.
He is a very popular Claret breeder. If you're planning to buy from a breeder in the states. You pay the asking prices and some extra dollars or double the prices just to get some excellent specimen.
But most quality fowl can be best obtained by friendship, some breeders are rich farmers that did't care about the money you pay they care more where their broodfowl is going and sometimes ask you straight if you have the patience to take care
and maintain the strain.
It would be according to your Show....I have his Duke Clarets, Grey and John Moore-Albany, Johnny Jumper and John Moore said Mac had the Gamest Albanies, ask Dink about them....he has others, the BMW line is the Kelso line. Mac has been honest and a friend to me....
As far I as I know, the're only two farms in P.I. that has and maintain the best feathers JM White can offer. both in the island of luzon. The closest friends he'll ever have, his filipino Sons!

James Machite fowls are awesome. I have acquired a trio from our friend Louie Zerrudo 3 years ago but unfortunately the broodcock a left in marking was stolen and the right nose hen died before it can produce.
From past acquisition I have found out that I was given 3 left in marking by Louie and was still in my yard. This left in was mated to my friend's Right nose hen also acquired from LZ. We win some and we lose some to the record but when I crossed this Macwhites to the Calihatch then starts a winning streak....have fought 5 at the first cross without losing a feather and have won exceptional win performance. And I still continue to win with this cross mating. In my experience I could say they are a complete fighting machine.
As of now I am looking forward of getting some Macwhite Boston Roundheads and Claret from Cornelio Ortaliz of Bacolod. And hopefully can cross them again with the Calihatch.
