Re: Jim Clem Orientals

Jim, earlier in this thread a man named Clinis was mentioned. Would that be Clinis Hall? I was gifted some of his nigger roundheads that were aquired before his death and I can see Jap characteristics in them. I can also see Jap influence in his niggers on his web site I think.
I also have nigger roundheads from Randy New but they are totally different than those of the Clinis Hall -Simpson Branch stuff.

They look really good, the last 2 are still a bit young and not fully fighting yet... The 1st one is 10 months already and I will get a sparring video of him and the other Melville Asil / Gilmore hatch grades which are still molting... Lost 1 due to the storm and culled one because of cord injury... So I only got 2 of those but still have 3 more baby stags that are crossed to sweater...

Chris

Re: Jim Clem Orientals

Chris, they are looking VERY good.

Rod, yes, Clinis Hall. We entered a Derby at Springbrook together. Fought Jap crosses. Did not do good until later in the day. Very high humidity & they were very wet. Lost 2 & won one later in the day. The Taggets were going for 5 straight & we had a 1/2 brownred/1/2 Jap. They came around that afternoon & we whipped his pretty quick. won 3 straight that night.

Hey, good to hear from you. Glad you are winning with them. If you want a Jap pullet to go with him, get back to me the end of November & I will give you one if you pay shipping & Broker expence.

Was asked to get a few Jap pics so here they are. Still green feathered but getting there.

Rodel,

One is the dad & the others are brother & cousin. Mom is not in any pics here. I have a pic of her mom & aunt. I will try & find it.

Leg is getting a bit better i guess. Hard to walk though. This walking cast will not let my ancle move so it is hard to walk. Also, if I walk the wrong way, it hurts like hell, lol.

just an advise jim,try to limit the movement in your affected leg,as if you do,it will disturbed the healing process....and might take longer to heal.
use a walking aid and just put only partial weight on the casted leg.

hope you can get back to your usual soon....

Chris, any video's yet?

Rodel, Yep, I have been takeing it very easy on it. Want it to heal fast. But, have to tend to the fowl. Have birds to select & ship out as well. Put it off but will try to get some of them selected & ready to ship this week. Them oldest Japs getting bigger? Can't wait until they mature to see them.

Hope, you are right about that. They cut very deep & when they hit, things do happen.

Mark, them stags are looking good!!! Did you get them sparing like they want to kill when given the chance? Make sure they are ready so they do not give a free shot? Good luck! One last thing, I hope they are not on point right now. Hard to keep them until friday. Friday is when you want them pointed so they do not go over by then. Un-less you were just meaning that they are feeling good & comeing along & hope they peak friday.

jim, got them training with hard and fast hitters like you advised.. they're moving pretty well.. alert from the sparring they're still undergoing conditioning, they'll be fighting on Nov.14 semis and for the Dec.3 finals , God willing.
you're right, by point, i mean keep them moving they way they're moving right now.. very sharp..
Did you see the pure BLACK stag? he's 1/2brownred 1/2jap.. got another one on moult at 14mos. they're brothers to the black Hennie (throw-back?) i was telling you about, although not from the same batch.

He's more of a Flyer what we call Salto in the PI.. but very accurate feet. when he hits, he's on target every time.. his brothers are more of grounders but they also fly when needed. im placing him on reserve since i intend to breed him back to make a pure Black family.. bonanza looking.

It seems that I'm out of topic here and sorry to insist, maybe Sir Jim Clem can give an answer to this.

The reason why I asked cause I've seen a old (5 years +) Regulay Grey? with name Jim Clem engraved on the Red Wing Band.

Just asking and thanks again.

Sorry Sir,

Yes, I have Greys. Have not bred many in the last few years but plan to breed a few this year. Been winning a high % for the guys in PI.

Pics of some of them.

I will try and try until it finishes, if not then when I get back to Dubai in three weeks...

I will be sparring them again this week end and every week end while I am here...

Re: Jim Clem Orientals

Got them sir Jim, just had to shrink the video down to successfully upload em...

This one is the 10 month old Melville Asil / Sweater againts a "veteran" blue cock:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwCBryc-nds

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...1102009186.jpg

It's only his first spar, I expect him to get better after a few more spars...

This one is the 13 month old Melville Asil / Gilmore Hatch against a "veteran" white cock:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8ZDL2mpVvQ

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...0102009318.jpg

Believe it or not, this is his 2nd spar only... This guys is got good moves...

These spar where taken last week, I will spar them again this Sunday along with the younger melville/sweater crosses if they are ready...

Chris

By the way, it is easier for an oriental bloodline fight pure in LK than in any other steel weapon.... JMO .... And back to the subject of this thread, I seen Jim's orientals, and I can say you can find as good as his for cheaper.... MPO....
Vakeroo, Either one you are bored and got nothing else better to do than to talk about Stupid comments of fighting pure Orientals or two you are just plain dumb when it comes to Fowl knowledge. Don`t you know that even C. NeSmith couldn`t fight those Pure YLH until he started crossing them to perfect the Roosters he was searching for. I don`t know much people that do fight Pure Orientals or any other so called Pure Fowl. Just because the Jim Clem Japs don`t fight pure in major pits does not make it a weak fowl. My friend you must be either new to the Sport or just plain ignorant.

Anyways to clarify things on this matter with our good ole friend Vakeroo or should I say Buckaroo, know your history on fowl before you shout out negative comments about another breeder, I bet you if you ask Jim he will tell you that those Orientals are awesome when crossed, that is why every Breeder has one bloodline that they use to cross to perfect a certain type of Rooster either for the SK, Gaff or LK....Just because he does not fight them Pure in a big Derby it doesn`t mean the Orientals are not game.....My friend go back to talking about ducks instead of Roosters my freiend...
