Re: Jim Clem Orientals
Jim,
Do your black japs have some of your roundhead blood in them? Because some of my "pure" ones are coming out looking alot like roundheads, a few even have white legs.

He looks very good!
No, no Roundhead in them. I have been breeding them for years now & breeding them pretty tight. Not sure where the white leg came from. Must be from something Gowdy put in them. Or something that was in them before he got them.
A pic of a straight bred Jap with white legs. Hard to see them in this pic but they are a black/white leg. Sorry about the way he looks. He is in heavy moult. I bred him to his Aunt this year.

I would't call them jap if I were you. They don't even look close to jap. They may have about 1/8 of jap in them. I have seen a lot of jap direct from gowdy when he was alive. Nothing look close to that jap u got. Both of the cock in the pic does have a lot of Roundhead in them by the look. Well if they are good who care what they are or call. As long they win for u is all count.

Remember Jim's Japs are partly Gowdy but the way Mr. Colt bred them Japs- one of the best in the business.

Well, you can call them what ever you would like & sorry, no Roundhead in them lol!
Yes, I figure if they can win, who cares what you call them. Also, Gowdy has had nothing to do with these for many years but they do not look any different than they were back then. The only difference is they are tight bred & selected by me.
So, like I said the last time someone just had to say something like you just did, they are not Gowdy Japs. They are my own selected & bred by me!
Yes, post some pics so we can compare!

But I can't help but notice the same characteristics in there fighting style compared to mine just by videos ive seen here an there. I like my gowdy japs more an more every year they look better the cocks are far more superior then the stags an the stags aint no push over.

Re: Jim Clem Orientals
Guys, thanks for the support.
Not our night last night though, lost 3 then had a draw for the 4th. the blacks fought well but with the bad luck of dark fowls last night, we couldnt get the win. as did most of the black fowls that were fought over all, still happy with this blood. they can compete anywhere.
jmho, medium stationed birds are better fought in the stag fights.
