Once your pointing starts on the last days of the keep it doesn't stop until right before calling you up to tie the weapon.Pointing is the most important part of the conditioning because its where you take control on how much your bird must get fed and watered with out stressing your bird out.It is also the part where you control his moisture so that your bird has a better cutting strike.Thats where you check his droppings even right before the fight.

Re: is it important point your fighting cock on day of the fight?
of course!!!!!!!!!!!!! all conditioning methods should lead to a very well pointed rooster/stag come fight day/night. its the apex of a comprehensive process, that leads to the perfect point or summit of conditioning. if it happens and often it does your bird is off point come pit day forget it, your chances of winning deminishes. i would rather have a class b pointed rooster than a class a off pointed rooster.
also your question is, is it important point your fighting cock on day of the fight? i dont point my roosters or stags on the day of the fight, we make sure our roosters/stags are at point or pointed on the day of the fight. those two are totally different scenarios.

YES!!!!
Pointing is the ultimate part of conditioning. Many Aces have lost their fights due to poor pointing procedures.

It is the way of making you're rooster reach its PEAK performance to give him that "snap" in order to win.

Re: is it important point your fighting cock on day of the fight?
Lets say you want to fight but the bird is on the down hill side of the peak pointing. You may be sending a sacrafishal lamb to slaughter if it is to far off point. Many lose, many fights because they are not in tune with what the bird is telling them. Sometimes the bird points the day before sheduled date, others a day or two after. All birds are like humans and train and require special needs for his needs not generic do this for all..
