Worming + Delousing

Are we worming our birds regularly? Some of us are probably taking for granted this very important responsibility to our feathered loved ones. Properly wormed and deloused birds i belive, fight more effective when they are free of these parasitic nuisance. A 5 pesos wormal pill a month to our bird is a lot cheaper than so many thousands of pesos bet to a lost rooster who cut short due to parasitic infestation. Not an expert but may help some of our friends out there and give them a little even playing field!

deworming is done in our farm by giving them a capsule brand every 2 months. We give 1 tablet the first day, and then another tablet 10 days after to make sure than if any oocyst was left in there, the second tablet will get them. The capsule we use is from a Rio Linda vet supply in Oklahoma and it also gets rid of eyeworm and tapeworm. We buy them in granules and we encapsulate ourselves.

delousing is just giving them a bath with "washout" to get rid of skin and feather parasites. We also rinse them on water with mane and tail horse shampoo to add lustre.

Every month sir during the dry season, sometimes twice a month on the summer. During the wet season, its as needed depending on weather and fowl condition. Check the feather and skin of your birds often.

try using wormal tablet.. it has three unique active ingredients namely phenothiazine ( cecal worms), piperazine (round worms) and dibutyltin dilaureate (tape worms).. you'll be sure all kinds of worms on our chickens will be killed and flushed out.
