Re: To all Dom/Bulik Breeders

YUP it is possible. Bobby boles did it to his asil because nobody wants to fight with his asil, he camouflage his with DOM color.

Re: To all Dom/Bulik Breeders

just downgrade the other line. like if you have a bulik hen and you breed it to a roundhead or hatch line.make the bulik line dominant by downgrading the other line up to 1/8 to 1/16. in this way they will only see the bulik side but the fighting style will improve... just my one cent idea....

Re: To all Dom/Bulik Breeders

If u have the resources, why not go and buy stocks from the breeder who won Bakbakan last year and runner-up this year.....

if u live in the province, DOMS are considered inferior compared to other breeds...i am sure you are favorite in the "ulutan" once you cary with u a dom....

just my opinion....

Re: To all Dom/Bulik Breeders

the thing is, they look at doms at a differrent way now, baka mas ayaw na nilang kalaban ang bulik ngayon. for me i don't wanna match my birds againts doms because most of them buliks are very intelligent, baka hindi makasugat ang manok ko.

I believe the days of "buliks/doms being considered as inferior" are gone... even in the provinces... isn't that right sir bulik_apatot?

Your right sir, Thanks for your Idea. keep on coming.

I just want to know how?
hatch X bulik X roundhead

result is;
1/4 hatch
1/4 bulik and
1/2 roundhead

bulik is a dominant color thus even 1/8 bulik blood.... still... almost all offspring
will be in bulik plumage

bulik lovers- musta from a to z

montillajojo nagasaki red- sir ano balita dyan! silip lang, bulik lover rin ako. i have around 80 plus bulik this year stag palang and few cocks left pero been breeding buliks for awhile pero just like what you said camouflage lang. Kung gusto mo mag palabas ng bulik stags always use the hen bulik at kahit anong brood cock gamitin mo. pero kung gusto mo some pullets bulik use the b-cock bulik. if you use both bulik b-cock and b-hen ang labas usually lighter bulik- experience ko lang sa pag breeding ko. Been breeding bulik now for 6 years at malalaman mo lang sa laro kung anong blood composition nila just like they said just a bulik.

There wil be many considerations. The first is that most bulik strains are reciprocating, that is, if your terminal cock is bulik, most female offsprings will be bulik on a 4:1 ratio. but of course, the purity of your stock should also be looked into. If your DOM is as pure as it can be then the chances of throwing bulik offsprings are high.

I had about 15 bulik stags and bull stags last year, three of which already won none lost yet. The rest are being pastured for cock-fights. It grandpop is a 3 time winner. It accidentally hit a Hulsey-Sweater hen and a friend gave me the pullet which looked like a spangle. This was the mother of all my stags and bullstags.

This year I decided to raise only buliks since they are offbeat and the cross coming from my bluelegged hatch brood cock turned out fine since all 6 stags fights like their grandpop. More like the RRS principle. So I decided to make several families, all of them coming from the old spangled hen.

I have a bulik which is 75% hatch now coming from a blue legged line but you cannot see any tinge of hatch in it because the DOM blood seems to be dominant especially if you follow a simple system where aside from computing percentages of purity, you depend more on your eye for selection. Choose stags which are light bulik and yellow legged even if their father is pure hatch. It is a tedious process but it pays off if you are after a bulik line.

My method to produce more buliks is really simple. On one side, i went up to the hatch tree and to get a yellow legged bulik pea comb and make it a terminal cock. On the other side, I got up to the 75% Hulsey and choose light bulik colored pullets to become the hen line. so I mate the hatch bulik stag to the pullets of the Hulsey line and come out 8 out of 10 buliks. I have yet to see if they will perform as good in the pit but surely I finished first grade- to produce a bulik line.

Try it yourself and you will see!

I agree with you on this. My ace cock lost to a bulik last sunday and it is my only lost for 5 chickens we brought to fight that day. I asked them how the ace cock lost, they said that the bulik is too shifty and has a vertical lift "salto" and really intelligent fighter. I told my boys not to fight off colored chickens in hacks. In derby, you can not do anything. Gone were the days that bulik is underestimated. Mahirap na ngayon iulot yan.
