Re: Ideal Tee Pee design
Rubber teepees
We opted for the rubber teepees due to its durability and can be moved anytime. The teepees were used in a different farm for 5 years and brought over to the new farm. Nice and cool for our corded fowls due to farm elevation.
Do not use this type of teepee in the lowlands if the weather is constantly hot and humid.

Musta Bro.
I believe you can use them in those areas...all you have to do is to paint them with a light/bright colour to reflect the sunlight...anything black absorbs sunlight which makes the material hot...

Re: Ideal Tee Pee design
making or constructing a tee pee depends on your budget.. if you can get a concrete one much better.. it will stay for long years.. if you are on a budget then a wooden or bamboo type tee pee is also applicable.. it will stay for about a year.. a rubberized one can stay for 2-3years..

In our case we had rubber teepees for 7 years now.. one thing i like about maintaining a rubber teepee is most of the repairs are hammering new nails to replace old ones. All we need to do is put in place new nails and presto its ready for use again.

Yes, I also believe in your claim that these tires will last real long...cost-benefit ratio, sure winner...they even beat concrete material in terms of transportability...

I'm sure you can get aluminum rivets at Lowes or Home Depot...that takes out the hassle of replacing those nasty rusted nails...

I hear you.. we all feel the crunch.. food prices are gettng outrageous and so is gasoline. Yet yearly raise does not even meet inflation... poor juan.. always scurrying to make ends meet.
Primary reason we opted for rubbber teepees per your statement.
