as far as i know,based on what i read on magazine here in pi,20 grand rooster of johnny jumper is not its price...its a name given to this particular rooster because a 20,000 dollar bet was placed on him winning on a spectacular fashion

ok guy's this is the history i know about the 20k's..... robbie whate made a kelso that he named the robbie white kelso they came with white legs, pea combed, and wine red hackels .... mac white!!!! then took the robbie white kelso and breed asil and hatch into them.... mac then took this cross to a derby where someone placed a 20 thousand dollar bet on the rooster...... some people say that the man that placed this bet was johnny jumper but i don't know that for sure.... long story short is that jumper got some of these birds from mac and they came yellow legged, pea combed, with wine red or lemon hackles.

cardinal kelso mostly come out in wine red color,round solid body, peacomb yellow leg but sometime throwing the white legs..

my friend acquired a johnnie jumper kelso trio from firebird gamefarm a few years ago. they were white legged wine red birds. they were brothers and sisters. he mated them together and got a blue legged pullet out of the mating. since it was already off season when he bred them, he just left the offsprings in his range. the offsprings, which were brothers and sisters mated with one another. when the pullets started laying eggs, i got the eggs and have them incubated. i got 1 blue legged stag out of those eggs and now i'm using him as my broodcock. been producing winners out of him. when crossed to sweaters,all male come out wine red and white legs. not even a single one came out yellow or blue legs. the winningest broodcock i've ever had

From what little I have seen of them, the looked like they had some Asil blood in them.The cut well, but lacked in gameness.Maybe better for crossing.

I can't vouch for their gameness yet... but I can't fault him for ability & aggression... he's real gentle & is a gentleman with his hen & does not harm his biddies. His sons are awesome looking, dark red, nice P heads & real tall with good bodies... but... the hen is not a 20K, she's a Cecil Davis Kelso that was a gift.
