yellow legged claret
Where is the best place to find yellow legged clarets? I hear they are hard to find, but that they are also sometimes preffered over the white legged claret.

Re: yellow legged claret
Based on the history of the Clarets written by old-time breeders and its originators, 10% comes yellow-legged.

..the owner of longleaf...is the chris that is prez of lbga...that went before the LA commitee and said the lgba agrees to the outlaw cockfighting in LA ...search and click on any of the threads of LGBA PREZ or google LA cockfighting bill...and you will see where the tv and newspapers are quoting him as FOR the bill....i'm feeling ill....redzone...

I remember talking to Paul (night Owl) at Bayou right when New Mexico was outlawed. He said our biggest supporter in LA was the commissioner of Agriculture. He said he was the person keeping it legal in LA. When New Mexico was outlawed, all the pressure was on LA to outlaw and this commissioner came out and said he was against it. This is when the phase out was introduced b/c they were told from an inside source the show was over in LA and to do what you can to keep it a misdemeanor.
I do not know how much is true, but this would make a lot of sense on why they did what they did. Im not defending them by no means, just relaying what I remember

You are right here. The show was over and all Chris did was try to make it as painless as possible. I personally know him and he is as good as they get. For those that want to say bad things about him I'd just like to asked how many of them showed up at the capital in Baton Rouge, La when he needed your support? Better than that, how many even belonged to the UGBA. The people that cared enough to belong to the UGBA and donated funds to lobby for us know the truth here. Most that talked ill of people and what happened never did any more than just that, "talk". Know "ALL" the facts before you judge, not just some of the facts. Bottom line here is, Chris is a good honest guy with good honest fowl.

.... it aint the fact that cockfighting was going to eventualy be outlawed in LA...its that the prez didnt ask for a general vote of the members if they wanted to "fold" or "fight"...
...and that still sticks in my craw...yeah i was an lgba memebr...and yeah i was a supporter...
..you would have thought we would have at least been asked what did WE want to do...

Redzone,
I have seen you at Sunset back in the day and I know you were a supporter but it was a fact that it was going to be outlawed and decisions were made. The people in charge are elected to make those decisions and you can't vote on each issue. That's why we elect them. Remeber also that any decision you make will not be popular with everybody. I just hate to see Chris talked about poorly when he was trying his hardest and in the end did what he thought was best for all. Come on, even if you deagree with his decision, you can't say he's a bad guy. That's just not true. Not trying to stir the pot here just stating what I know about him.

My old buddy let me have these to carry on Griffin Brothers clarets direct. He is 71 years old been in his family since he can remember. Wide backs & power!
Wire pen son over mom & grandma. In straw pen daddy over daughters. Cross these over my hatch & Laws in 2012. This year gone be over many more lines.
