To my Honorable cockmates , na maalam sa history ng WSC,anong year po ba nag-start ang WSC sa Araneta at sino-sino na ang mga nag Champion frm then to present ,at anong mga bloodlines ang ginamit nila.Kung may pics po kau ng mga bloodlines ng mga WSC champs paki-post narin.

This is from cocker??????

the very first edition of the world slasher cup (modern day era) was held on july 1990. although there have been similar world slasher cup derbies, also held at the big dome, in the 60's, 70' and 80's where the US of A's best are pitted against the Philippines' finest gamebirds, it was not done on a regular/annual basis. correct me if i'm wrong but even during the 60's, there have been tournaments held at the araneta coliseum featuring duke hulsey's gamecocks, sponsored by no less than jorge 'nene' araneta, fighting against the best pinoy cockfighters of that decade.

all in all, there have been a total of 32 wsc editions spanning 16 long years. additional wsc trivia are as follows:

*in wsc's inaugural in july 1990, the format was a 7 cock derby spread into 3 days. the reason behind this was the regular circuit derbies at the big dome at that time were 6 cockers, so the world slashers were made into a 7 cock championship. in 1991, wsc organizers decided to make the world slashers an 8 cock event and later on, the araneta management adapted a similar change by upgrading their regular circuit derbies to 7 cock tournaments as it is today.

*there are only 3 wsc champions who garnered an unblemished record of 8 wins and no loss to this day. they are the 'winning time' entry of atty salud who did it in january 2004, patrick antonio's 'sagupaan' in may '97, and gengen/ashley arayata/cyrus jao's 'super clyde' in january 2008.

*the most number of times the wsc silver cup was won was 5 times.

last friday sep 26, 2008 jun santiago joined the battle of the big boys 6 stag derby. He scored 4-2 parading white legged, dark red, peacomp, high flying and excellent cutter fowl.

what is his signature bloodline?
its not a common line like sweaters or roundheads.
but surely can do the scores.

ok ngayun alam ko na kung sino talaga ang winningest pag dating sa WSC,kaso si sir jun santiago yata kumukuha lang ng manok sa manga kilalang breeder or may palahi din kaya siya?nagtatanong lang po....

mr. santiago do maintains a farm... WSC 2005 he used Joe Welcott & Larry Whitehead fowl. These are Roundhead x claret and roundhead x whitehackle crosses, white legged, wine red plumage, high flying, sigle stroke, accurate-deep cutting fowl.

I never observe mr. santiago uses sweaters.

Parang narinig ko comment ni Mr. Glen Lim na ang January 2008 WSC daw yata ang record breaking entry na 173 entries kaya two days daw ang naging elimination round. Mayroon yatang entry na Molokai na galing Hawaii, dumating yata sa Pilipinas one week bago ang derby. Molokai hatch ang mga manok.
