WSD June 2004 Blogs
The first day event gave us a chance to meet up and eyeball with fellow CF's and amiable sabong.net members and personalities like Roy Malalim, Mandy, ChiliSM, malviolo, dong1967( who goes to the pit almost everyday) , Salvaje and Kahig whose "Salvaje Jones" entry garnered 1.5 points.
We also got the chance to do some small talk with Manong Boy Marzo of Bulalayaw fame. Bale 2 entries siya. Yung isa is solo manok nya ang gamit at yung isa naman e puro manok ni sabong.net member Jay Ancheta using 3 year old imported cocks. Jay's entry is STONE COUNTY, medyo malas yata yung kay Jay kasi parehas na talo. He was matched against PA (with 5 entries!!) and Mauro Prieto's Anito entry. Manong Boy's own entry naman got a respectable WIN and a DRAW na parehas na pahirapan. At the far end of the MERON side all by his lonesome is Meliton Galo. We were expecting Caloy from Singapore to show up pero wala sya. Anong nangyari Caloy? Syanga pala, Orlie Mendoza was also there. Of course naroon din si Mang Fred, who pitted the Liza Galore entry. Naroon din sa VIP row si Idol Manny Pacquiao katabi si Rudy Salud and Lito Orillaza. Those of U out there who want to get in touch with the group, silip lang kayo sa Starbucks kung maaga pa or proceed to the right side of the MERON sign opposite the fastfood area. Usap tayo. Bilib ako talaga kay Dennis Roldan pumusta. His Sunriser entry was the first fight kalaban entry ng Ampil Bros na AIR ASSULT 8 NGBA. Parada agad is 330k.. ni wala pang katao tao. Nakasa lang yata e 110k, largely thru the efforts of the balik-kasador ABU CENTENO. Abu got a standing ovation when he stepped in as the events kasador. Akala ng karamihan si SHIO pa rin kasi ang magkakasa. Anyway, it is obvious na mas gusto ng tao ang pagkakasa ni Abu kasi may comedy . BTW, nanalo si Dennis sa first fight nya  Mga laban naman ni Roger Roberts e sa tingin ko ay talagang napares ... equally matched ika nga. Pahirapan din yung (first fight) laban ni Blue Blade San Pablo na nakita ko. Akala ko talo na yung kay Sonny L nang biglang natuwa si Long Hair (handler ni Sonny).... panalo nga! Kalaban nila e yung "Agustin Roxas - 5 cock" entry. Nalagay sa Wala side si SL dahil mas konti ang parada pero sa labas e ang na-llamado e si Sonny din. Cong Rudy Albano pitted his first fight " Mulawin A Jimafer" against "Smarty Joe". Cong Rudy lost. Hindi na umakyat ulit. hehehe Balita ko e pahiyang muna yung Handler Gaffer ni Cong Claudie B. Iba ang nag-bitaw ng entry nila "CBP Farm Binangonan" I was impressed with the fight between SAGUPAAN BPZ (PA using BPZ fowls!) vs KGB Vertical ni Francis Lumunsad .. fight 25.. dehado cyempre si Francis. Guess who won? 2 Negro na manok ang nakita kong nanalo kagabi, 1 is a Sagupaan entry (parang bonanza brassback) and the other was the first fight of Winning Time -Jobo. Malamang eto yung DVH line nila! Magagaling! All in all there were 74 fights that started 3:00 PM Kayo naman! :teeth: |

Andun lang kami sa taas nyo nakaupo at kinakawayan kita kaso iba naman tinitingan mo. Si Malviolo nakatext ko at talo daw siya sa trabesya hehehe. I saw the second fyt of Dennis Roldan vs Dicky Lim's brass back butcher looking bird. Drag fight at pareho magaling na manoks yun nga lang talo si Dennis. Malas din ang entry ni Roger Roberts at Jun S. May binitawan si Jun S na napakagwapong manok vs RT114 victory. Sayang nga lang at natalo pero split second din lang bumigay na rin ang kalaban. Talo ako dun huhuhuhu. |

Thanks for the update...medyo napauwi ako ng maaga kasi me trabaho pa kinabukasan... So natalo din pala yung 2nd fight ng STONE COUNTY JAY...kasi medyo confused ako eh...kasi dun sa gallery naka display yung winning bird ng STONE COUNTY JAY...alam ko talo yung 1st fight dahil napanood ko and then your update na talo rin yung 2nd fight...pero dun sa gallery naka-post yung manok nanalo... Hmmmmm...... |

Roy,
2 ang entry ni Mang Boy Marzo last June 15,2004. JDL BM Bulalayaw scored 1 1/2 at ang isa ay Stone County JA-BM na 2 talo. Ang kalaban ng JDL ay JRT PIWA Lucban Four the Boys panalo sila dito at tabla naman sa Scepter AVF Boston. Ang kalaban ng Stone County ay SAgupaan B-50 Forten at Anito M&M pareho talo. Baka makapunta mamaya para makapanood na naman ng umaatikabong bakbakan ng mga magagaling na manoks. Good luck to Salvaje, Kahig and BM. |

Yung isa JDL BM Bulalayaw - 1.5 pts Stone County Jay/BM Bulalayaw - 0 Gusto ko lang ma-clarify, kasi pi-nost ni Jay Ancheta sa Gallery yung nanalong manok ng Stone County Jay entry, eh pareho namang talo yung dalawang manok ng Stone County Jay entry... Stone county
Mga pare,
Noong january ay sinundan ko rin yung Stone County dahil magaling gumire dito....Hayun ubos ako..Bukya ang score. itong nakaraan alam ko na....kinontra ko.... Pare yung mga manok ng Stone County NABATO. Hindi pang WSD and quality, pang tupada lang. Merong pang CF na sumasali na may mga milagro ang mga manok, Hindi yata sumali ngayong. Di ko na lang ihahayag baka magalit. |

After thoughts and reflections
Just a quick after thought...
The first day was just so-so...sure there were entries that were excellent, very good...but there were also entries which I thought was just out-classed, out-fought and simply out of their league...they could have been fought in the regular pits and would have still had encountered a tough time... What the 1st day showed was simply the separation of the men from the boys... The 2nd and 3rd day was different this was the true 1st class competition...several come from behind wins...a dehado did not mean you had less chancess of winning...and true to form the odds-makers (llamadistas) at some point were beaten to the punch on several occasions....and vice versa... |

WSD Inquiry
just wondering if anyone here from the big dome management?
Why is it that we are not allowed to get out of the big dome during the derby? I had a need to retrieve somethings from the car as pasalobong to a friend i met inside. Per the gate keepers, I have to pay again to get inside! another filipino racket?! some oldtimers were complaining because they could not get some medication they left in the car as well. Before, they had an ad that if your a balikbayan, all you have to show is your passport but this time no more freebies I guess! just my 2 cents... bq |
