This morning, nakikinig ako ng news, may topic about the Alyansang Sabungero for Partylist, dhil daw may marginalize sector cla ay pwede cla as partylist. 20% ng populasyon ng Pilipinas daw ang kanilang miyembro at pag hindi cla pinayagan ng Comelec, lagot daw sa kanilang mga miyembro ang mga naghahangad ng position sa 2010, hindi nila ito iboboto.

Aba at hindi p nakaupo, nanakot na! kuya, style mo bulok, matagal ng takot mga pinoy!

Ngek! ano naman ang kanilang plata porma? Gagawin sabungan capital of the world ang Pilipinas? LOL

Heto nga at galit ang mga advocates sa animal rights sa labanan ng mga hayop tuald ng bull fight, dog fight, cock fight,etc etc.

Ngayon, nais na nilang magpatayo ng party list ng mga animal rights violators? Talaga nga naman ang mga sugarol na Pinoy, kahit anu ano, naiimbento!

Sabagay, maraming pulitikerong sabungero, di ba?

So, guys, tip lang. Pag nakikita nyo sa sabungan ang inyong kandidato, huwag nyo na syang iboto. Masamang character para sa isang leader ang sugarol dahil magnanakaw yan maka sugal lang!!!

May presidente pa nga ng Pilipinas na sugarol, hinde ba? Tapos nag ta-top uli sya sa survey! Naku, madala na sana tayo. Isusugal nya pati kaluluwa ng mga hinde pa napapanganak na PIlipino.

Wednesday, August 19, 2009 A party-list group for cockfight aficionados (sabungeros)? I am a believer in the party-list concept and would even like the party-list setup to replace the country’s current personality-based politics. Having organized groups participate in the elections instead of individual candidates will in theory push politicians to be cause-oriented for a change.
Recent developments, however, are making a mockery of the concept of party-list representation in Congress. The deadline last Aug. 17 for the filing of petitions for registration of party-list groups for the 2010 polls drew over 250 party-list organizations. While letting “a hundred flowers bloom” is good, the inanity was also noticeable.

Alyansa Sabungero can be as legitimate a party-list group as, say, a mythical Alyansa Lotto Bettors. I mean, has the party-list concept gotten down to this? Of course, this not the first time the law has been twisted. Attempts by major political parties in past elections to register sister groups in the party-list polls were mercifully shot down.
The ball is actually in the hands of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Rossie Palacio of the Comelec told GMANews.TV that the Commission en banc still has to meet and verify whether the applicant group exists, whether it has complied with all requirements and whether it represents the “marginalized and underrepresented sectors.”

CONTINUATION

Now, being definite on this “marginalized” or “underrepresented” term is the tricky part. The Constitution has a list: labor, peasant, urban poor, indigenous cultural communities, women and youth, then adds the all-encompassing phrase, “and such other sectors as may be provided by law, except the religious sector.” So it’s open-ended.
Congress, through Republic Act No. 7941 or the Party-List System Act, did add to the list the elderly, the handicapped, veterans, overseas workers and professionals. And judging from the party-list groups presently represented in the House of Representatives, “marginalized and underrepresented” include anti-graft advocates and anti-communists.

My understanding is that the basis of the delineation of the “marginalized and underrepresented” sectors is more serious, like economic status, and not nebulous causes. But since nothing has been made definite, it now looks like everything goes as far as the party-list election is concerned. As for the sabungeros, they don’t need to form a party-list group to be in Congress. Some of them are already lawmakers, aren’t they?

Or assuming that Franco's Republicans were illegitimate, pitting 20 million Vietcong to fight a legitimate South Vietnamese government and army who were elected by the people would not eradicate the scars that resulted in such mayhem. One human life nowadays costs 1 million, multiplied by 20 million is gazillon.
