Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
Guys just a pastime for discussion...for us OFW's to lessen the boredom..
I am not a fan of 1/4 RH 1/4 of that or 1/4 of this line etc etc....or whatever breeders or cockers might say.... blending. At the end of the day its the fighting style and good conditioning program of the feathered warriors that matters.
Gonna ask your opinion... Which one will you choose?
CHEERS,

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
You know what they say "You cannot turn a jackass into a thoroughbred"
If the bloodline is not there no matter what you do to them they will never be aces!

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
Different bloodlines have their signature figthing styles.
O yung lamang hinanda by giving exercise, vitamins and food supplements, at inaakala nating mamamalo?

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
Thanks and good day

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
Bloodline ang 1st factor n hnhanap k s manok.dto k kc malalaman kung paano i condition manok. Meron kc manok pg hard training hnd pumapalo ng maganda gusto lng light. Meron nan light training hnd gumaglaw. So dpat alamin muna bloodline.

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
kung ipunin mo lahat 100% mananalo ang manok with the following considerations= Body-configuration, Age and Bloodline 60%, good Feeding and other nutrient plus good timing of giving vitamins 20%, healthy farm or environment 10%, well plan routine and timing of exercise 7%, Luck 3%. That is my formula as small time sabongero which we inherited from our grandparents.

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
In my own humble opinion, both are important. If you have a solid bloodline pero pinabayaan mo naman ang manok (payat, namumutla, etc.) you will find it hard to win. Kung may manok ka naman na naka vitamins nga araw-araw but has a family history of backing out during fights (tumatakbo) & mahina sa drag fight, chances are you won't also win.

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
If you look at even pure lines, they all have a history of blending of one sort or another in their history. I think it just comes down to not over doing it and using compatible strains with a lot of common sense. If your fowl are deep but slow or fast but have no endurance then you might look for a line to make up for a deficiency or you might just pick the faster type from your own deep lines or those with more endurance from your own speed lines. Up to you and there is no one absolute. It's all just percentages but I do agree you need good stock and a goal combined with common sense.

Re: Bloodlines or Fighting style and good conditioning
FOr me, fighting style first! Before the bloodline almost all the breeder have a own signature line but he always select the best fighter.... after the champion or win every one asking anong bloodline ang manok na ginamit mo......................
Fighting style parin........Ang the BEST.....
