Boy Ledesma bred these for Mulawin. I forgot the name of the original breeder of the white side. He was from Antipolo.

Re: What about good White Fowl?
hands down i would have to say the zambaonga whites of boy primallion and manny dalipe.i had the luxury of watching them showed in a derby in pasay and the odds would always start 10 to 6 in their favor.they had the smarts and had the speed yet excellent cutters.those were the best whites hands down.

Re: What about good White Fowl?
I began experimenting 2 years ago with a trio of white rainbow hatch from Rick Smith from ALA. first season I hatched about 30 chicks. one night the owl took care of all of them. last season I manage to raise 2 stags. they are about a year old now both have decent temperament. but 1 lacks body..
my partner has some brownreds that he has been breeding them brownrdsfor quite some time. 2 seasons ago (due to inbreeding) he hatched some white chicks out of the brownreds...the white brownreds are as good or better than the black brownreds. he breed whi bro and whi sist and will see how many he raises this season.. so hopefully this season we can raise plenty of whites to compare them.. and really see results....

check the past forums about this fowl.theres a lot of info.ask princess naldo she still has this line.these fowl dominated the cocking scene in the philippines during the late 80's and early 90's before the sweater became famous.

Re: What about good White Fowl?
Slim Benoist. The best white chickens on the planet imo are bred by the 84-year old veteran in Lampasas, TX. We showed a bullstag from a family we got from him in the l/k in the Hawaiian invitational at the Bayou just before it closed. Got a standing ovation from the big crowd... best times. We moved the family in the PI and still maintaining them pure. They are very game and early maturing. Two 9-month old island born stags won easily against cocks last December. They're not solid white as they have a black or red spot or two in their feathers; come mostly yellow or banana legged, but a white legged would pop-out and Slim told me to breed the heck out of it if I get one, and this year we got one . They come peacombed and straightcombed; the peacombed stags we show pure; the straightcombed pullets we cross to our guyer albany for camouflaging and white-feathered battlefowls. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Re: What about good White Fowl?
I understand that the Thompson White's are a dominate white... you can breed them to red fowl several generations & still retain the white coloration.
I used to know where some derned good White's were... but this was 20 years ago. If I were actually wanting White fowl, I'd holler at Irishcutt... I don't think the white in Clarets is very dominate tho.

Re: What about good White Fowl?
The White Kelso's of Sidney Kinsaul from Georgia are great and the white is very dominant at a 1/4 they are still white and at an 1/8 they come pyle and white

Re: What about good White Fowl?
Not a fan of white fowl, but I did see some shown at the last Hawaiian Derby held at the Bayou Club, when it was legal and they were unbelievable in lk., and won the derby. Heard they got them from someone in CA?

Re: What about good White Fowl?
i had tested these white fowls in the pit for so many times and the percentage of winning is about 80 percent..the lines is a throwback of my pure mclean hatch.....i breed it by brother and sister mating which is all white....they produce some blue legged whites and some white legged whites for the first inbreeding until they produced yellow legged whites but they come smaller now so i cross it now to white kelso of jason price of southern ace gamefarm and i will try to test it in the pit this year end.god bless.

I have seen Brian Corken whites shown at some big knife derbys, and he always does well with them. They come out great, always outbreak the other rooster, when i watched him, it seemed he couldnt lose, he did draw one, and i have seen him on other occasions also. I think the whites are mostly sweaters. He said one rooster was 3/4 sweater 1/4 white claret.
