I might be wrong but maybe you're referring to "BLUE BAND" ... they're white legged reds. They got the name blue band because the broodcock didn't have a wingband to identify what bloodline he was but only had a "blue leg band". This cock was excellent in fighting and was made into a broodcock and most of his offsprings made Elwin Javelosa win a lot of stag derbies.

Bago lang me nagbreeding last year and nagadditional bumili me ng materials kasi indemand sa manila kelso na color.personal na binigay ni boss bebot pagkuha ko.
sa akin lang kung may iba nagabreed dito info lang.

Bebot Uy bought some his brood stocks from Elwin Javelosa of Negros like his hatch grey and maybe i'm not quite sure Bebot got some of the Blue band bloodline... 2 years ago a breeder who doesn't sell much bought most of Elwins chickens including his original blue band materials. This cebuano breeder goes by the entry name WTG in derbies and his farm is in Brgy. Sudlon 2.

I dont think so sir. May be year 80's or early of 90's he bought some stock from local breeder. But what i've learned, he imported from US directly. to summarize: Paulspark, Troy prettier, Dangray RH, brownred, JJ kelso, Topy hatch, melsims, Robert harvey Blueface, English Dom, Benneth white, etc including Blueband.

I agree with you sir coz im a satelite breeder of boss bebot uy and early 80's chongkee uy a brother of bebot uy bought most of his broodstag and fighting cock in negros at hinlo and boss bebot uy broding material are all imported through his friend mel sims in the us.correct me if im wrong.

I stand corrected ... sorry cockmates. . . Anyway hindi pa masyado sikat itong blue band na linyada kasi kulang sa advertising pero sa kay Elwin Javelosa in 16 stag derby fights 15 won and 1 draw. . too bad hindi nya na timing na e sali lahat sa isang derby sa bakbakan.

kung b/band po nakuha ninyo, you were very lucky, but as far as i know, Bebot did not advertise nor sell this line of fowl for commercial, personal use po yata ito, and i know very few and close people lang ang nabigyan niya ng linyadang ito. 1 guy i know is bayani estanislao, a member also of this site.

Nakita ko kung paano lumaban ang mga blue band sa farm ni Bani noon. Me power, cutting, brains, at speed ito. Ang weakness nito ay mababa magbreak. Sa akin opinion ay dapat i-cross ito sa angat sarado na mga linyada.

Isa pang ayaw ko sa Blue Band Kelso ay medium station lang ito. Kelangan ibreed sa mga high station na manok kung gusto nya me station ang mga anak. Meron akong nakuha na 1/2 Blue Band Kelso 1/2 Mel Simms Kelso. Tinigil ko na sa breeding dahil hindi maganda ang station ng mga anak.
