Re: black roundhead pics
Mr. Ronco!
I have family of Nigger RoundHeads (Black RoudHeads) that I was told is the Mcrae fowl. I was told Mr. Mcrae used the NRH (or also called grimmie fowl) then he added blueface hatch to make/keep them game.. is that story more or less correct?
mine come black red to solid black. in recent years been breeding towards the solid black side. therefore most of them are coming solid black. They got red or dark eyes, some may have frog color eyes, and the bottom of their feet is white.
during my recent visit to some of my friends in AL. I seen a family of Mcraes that resemble pretty much mine, except they were very high station. mine are med to short station.

Amigo Gallo de Oro as I recall the story told By Mr. Rick Albright is that Mr. Sam Wactor made the (NRH) Black Rounheads by crossing 9 Shelton Rounhead hens some white and some yellow legged with a Black Brown Red Looking cock from a man named Grimme, the Brood cock was killed by his sons after the first breeding season. Mr Wactor selected one awesome stag son named "Trotter", he was breed into the daughters and grand daughters always breeding to the black/dark side without outcrossing, then Mr. Sam Wactor sold some birds to William Mcrea and he took some to the Islands and he created the Black Mcreas with many strains of other Fowl which I have no knowledge. Basically the Dominant blood of the Mcreas is (NRH) Black Rounheads.
My (NRH) were given to me by my Dear friend "Bubba" Phillips who was the Heeler and handler of Mr. Rick Albright's entry Black and Blue. and they have been kept pure to this date they all come black with some red hackle, shoulder and saddle feathers red eyes or black eyes, black face mask, some white spots on toes and always white bottom of feet, pea comb and are very talkative (chatterbox) and are Game, Game, Game.

Re: black roundhead pics
If you can get the nigger roundheads that Rick albrigth had those were some of the best. I bought a bunch and he gifted me a lot in the 90's. The McRaes from him were awesome too.the roundheads he sent me came solid black the McRaes some solid black others black with red back or black reds. No brownreds. I sent all the lines I got from him to my grandfather in Mexico. When Mr albright wasn't doing good he sent me 5 trios and told me to rent a U-Haul and drive to Utah and get whatever I wanted, but I thought that was quite a drive, and I had no place to put them. Now I wish I would've. A really great man. Some one told me Raven heaven has good blacks has anyone seen them or knows who they are?

Well, I forgot where you could get them, because I was just scanning those old old GAMECOCK and GRIT and STEEL Magazines, and perhaps because of the laws enacted to curtail the freedom to raise gameroosters, I doubt if they still exist.
Nevertheless, creating this NIGGER ROUNDHEADS is not too much of a problem. Just get a ROUNDHEAD BROODCOCK and mate it over some BLACK MCRAE or BLACK BONANZA and you'll have some NIGGER ROUNDHEADS.
Two weeks ago, Francis Afable spoke of these NIGGER ROUNDHEADS in Hataw Pinoy.
God bless.

Yes but this is only partly true black mcrae already has Nigger Roundhead which is what was. mcraes foundation of his blacks and so does Nigger trotter the original Nigger Roundhead was a black grimme cock a sheldon or Allen. Rounhead so to create an actual NRH IS IMPOSSIBLE BUT MAKING VARIATION OF A NRH IS VERY POSSIBLE BUT JUST BECAUSE WE CROSS A BLACK TO A ROUNDHEAD DOES NOT NECESSARILY MAKE IT THE ORIGINAL NIGGER ROUNHEAD. I HAVE HAD PURE NIGGER ROUNDHEADS AND PURE MCRAES AND CROSSED THOSE MCRAES TO ROUNDHEADS THEY FIGHT QUITE DIFFERENT THE NIGGER ROUNDHEADS ARE WAY SMARTER WAY MORE TAME THEY KEEP THERE DISTANCE AND LET THE OTHER ROOSTER MAKE THE MISTAKE THEN STRIKE, MCRAE CROSSED TO ROUNHEADS ARE AWESOME TO BUT MORE AGGRESSIVE LIKES TO BANG BLOW FOR BLOW BUT STILL HAS MORE STYLE THAN A PURE MCRAE BUT STILL AWESOME I LOVE THEM BOTH ALL THE WAY
